The Lord said to Noah, “Go into the boat with your whole family; I have found that you are the only one in all the world who does what is right.

And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God's sight and to be at peace with him.

“Did you notice my servant Job?” the Lord asked. “There is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil.”

Let no one deceive you, my children! Whoever does what is right is righteous, just as Christ is righteous.

You know that Christ is righteous; you should know, then, that everyone who does what is right is God's child.

But now, by means of the physical death of his Son, God has made you his friends, in order to bring you, holy, pure, and faultless, into his presence.

We are proud that our conscience assures us that our lives in this world, and especially our relations with you, have been ruled by God-given frankness and sincerity, by the power of God's grace and not by human wisdom.

I praise you because you always remember me and follow the teachings that I have handed on to you.

Paul looked straight at the Council and said, “My fellow Israelites! My conscience is perfectly clear about the way in which I have lived before God to this very day.”

If I pay attention to all your commands, then I will not be put to shame.

“Remember, Lord, that I have served you faithfully and loyally and that I have always tried to do what you wanted me to.” And he began to cry bitterly.

This is the story of Noah. He had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Noah had no faults and was the only good man of his time. He lived in fellowship with God,

Jesus said to them, “You are the ones who make yourselves look right in other people's sight, but God knows your hearts. For the things that are considered of great value by people are worth nothing in God's sight.

Obey them all, so that everything will go well with you and so that you will continue to live in the land that you are going to occupy.

The Lord did this because David had done what pleased him and had never disobeyed any of his commands, except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

They had no children because Elizabeth could not have any, and she and Zechariah were both very old.

At that time there was a man named Simeon living in Jerusalem. He was a good, God-fearing man and was waiting for Israel to be saved. The Holy Spirit was with him

For David said about him, ‘I saw the Lord before me at all times; he is near me, and I will not be troubled.

You have no part or share in our work, because your heart is not right in God's sight.

God did this so that the righteous demands of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature.

He served his father's God, obeyed God's commands, and did not act the way the kings of Israel did.
