Sing a new song to the Lord; he has done wonderful things! By his own power and holy strength he has won the victory.

The Lord will use his holy power; he will save his people, and all the world will see it.

Wake up, Lord, and help us! Use your power and save us; use it as you did in ancient times. It was you that cut the sea monster Rahab to pieces.

They know God, but they do not give him the honor that belongs to him, nor do they thank him. Instead, their thoughts have become complete nonsense, and their empty minds are filled with darkness.

“And now, I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, honor, and glorify the King of Heaven. Everything he does is right and just, and he can humble anyone who acts proudly.”

Where is the Lord, who by his power did great things through Moses, dividing the waters of the sea and leading his people through the deep water, to win everlasting fame for himself?” Led by the Lord, they were as sure-footed as wild horses, and never stumbled.

The Sovereign Lord is coming to rule with power, bringing with him the people he has rescued.

Listen to the glad shouts of victory in the tents of God's people: “The Lord's mighty power has done it!

You crushed the monster Rahab and killed it; with your mighty strength you defeated your enemies.

When the Lord saw how wicked everyone on earth was and how evil their thoughts were all the time,

Because of this, in one day she will be struck with plagues— disease, grief, and famine. And she will be burned with fire, because the Lord God, who judges her, is mighty.”

In the same way you younger people must submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you must put on the apron of humility, to serve one another; for the scripture says, “God resists the proud, but shows favor to the humble.”

we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.

How powerful you are! How great is your strength!

My soul will feast and be satisfied, and I will sing glad songs of praise to you.

I will always thank you, God, for what you have done; in the presence of your people I will proclaim that you are good.

The Lord frustrates the purposes of the nations; he keeps them from carrying out their plans.

Has any god ever dared to go and take a people from another nation and make them his own, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt? Before your very eyes he used his great power and strength; he brought plagues and war, worked miracles and wonders, and caused terrifying things to happen.

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods, because he did this when the Egyptians treated the Israelites with such contempt.”

The odor of the sacrifice pleased the Lord, and he said to himself, “Never again will I put the earth under a curse because of what people do; I know that from the time they are young their thoughts are evil. Never again will I destroy all living beings, as I have done this time.

So the Lord scattered them all over the earth, and they stopped building the city.

The Lord is going to make you weak, and no one will respect you.
