He said, “Go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim to the people the message I have given you.”

You will tell them whatever I tell you to say, whether they listen or not. Remember what rebels they are.

Get ready, Jeremiah; go and tell them everything I command you to say. Do not be afraid of them now, or I will make you even more afraid when you are with them.

He said, “Go to Nineveh, that great city, and speak out against it; I am aware of how wicked its people are.”

Afterward, Jesus found him in the Temple and said, “Listen, you are well now; so stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”

Do those things that will show that you have turned from your sins.

So Jonah obeyed the Lord and went to Nineveh, a city so large that it took three days to walk through it.

“Mortal man,” he said, “I am making you a lookout for the nation of Israel. You will pass on to them the warnings I give you.

Once again the Lord spoke to Jonah.

Then Moses told Aaron everything that the Lord had said when he told him to return to Egypt; he also told him about the miracles which the Lord had ordered him to perform.

and directed them and their descendants to observe the days of Purim at the proper time, just as they had adopted rules for the observance of fasts and times of mourning. This was commanded by both Mordecai and Queen Esther.

But the Lord said to me, “Do not say that you are too young, but go to the people I send you to, and tell them everything I command you to say.
