“What are you trying to do to me, Tyre, Sidon, and all of Philistia? Are you trying to pay me back for something? If you are, I will quickly pay you back!

The time has come to destroy Philistia, to cut off from Tyre and Sidon all the help that remains. I, the Lord, will destroy the Philistines, all who came from the shores of Crete.

He will punish his enemies according to what they have done, even those who live in distant lands.

This is the time when the Lord will rescue Zion and take vengeance on her enemies.

God will do what is right: he will bring suffering on those who make you suffer,

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute me?”

Now, will God not judge in favor of his own people who cry to him day and night for help? Will he be slow to help them?

Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of Ammon to say, “What is your quarrel with us? Why have you invaded our country?”

The Lord will take revenge and punish them; the time will come when they will fall; the day of their doom is near.

I assure you that on the Judgment Day God will show more mercy to the people of Tyre and Sidon than to you!

People of Philistia, the rod that beat you is broken, but you have no reason to be glad. When one snake dies, a worse one comes in its place. A snake's egg hatches a flying dragon.

Before the king of Egypt attacked Gaza, the Lord spoke to me about Philistia.

It will be a dark and gloomy day, a black and cloudy day. The great army of locusts advances like darkness spreading over the mountains. There has never been anything like it, and there never will be again.

The earth shakes as they advance; the sky trembles. The sun and the moon grow dark, and the stars no longer shine.
