With a loud cry the Council members covered their ears with their hands. Then they all rushed at him at once,

“But my people stubbornly refused to listen. They closed their minds

The Jews seized this man and were about to kill him. I learned that he is a Roman citizen, so I went with my soldiers and rescued him.

They are full of poison like snakes; they stop up their ears like a deaf cobra,
