It was about three o'clock one afternoon when he had a vision, in which he clearly saw an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius!”

One day Peter and John went to the Temple at three o'clock in the afternoon, the hour for prayer.

But that night an angel of the Lord opened the prison gates, led the apostles out, and said to them,

What are the angels, then? They are spirits who serve God and are sent by him to help those who are to receive salvation.

While Peter was wondering about the meaning of this vision, the men sent by Cornelius had learned where Simon's house was, and they were now standing in front of the gate.

There was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. He had a vision, in which the Lord said to him, “Ananias!” “Here I am, Lord,” he answered.

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute me?”

Suddenly a great army of heaven's angels appeared with the angel, singing praises to God:

An angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar where the incense was burned.

At about three o'clock Jesus cried out with a loud shout, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why did you abandon me?”

I appoint you to help my servant Israel, the people that I have chosen. I have given you great honor, although you do not know me.

The Lord said to Moses, “I will do just as you have asked, because I know you very well and I am pleased with you.”

Morning, noon, and night my complaints and groans go up to him, and he will hear my voice.

The next day, as they were on their way and coming near Joppa, Peter went up on the roof of the house about noon in order to pray.
