“He protects the lives of his faithful people, but the wicked disappear in darkness; a man does not triumph by his own strength.

He will not let you fall; your protector is always awake.

They are for you, who through faith are kept safe by God's power for the salvation which is ready to be revealed at the end of time.

The angel told me to give Zerubbabel this message from the Lord: “You will succeed, not by military might or by your own strength, but by my spirit.

The Lord loves those who hate evil; he protects the lives of his people; he rescues them from the power of the wicked.

I said, “I am falling”; but your constant love, O Lord, held me up.

for the Lord loves what is right and does not abandon his faithful people. He protects them forever, but the descendants of the wicked will be driven out.

Then you will live at peace in your tent; when you look at your sheep, you will find them safe.

The Lord loves his people and protects those who belong to him. So we bow at his feet and obey his commands.

You may make your plans, but God directs your actions.

He will protect you as you come and go now and forever.

These people are like dried-up springs, like clouds blown along by a storm; God has reserved a place for them in the deepest darkness.

But those who should be in the Kingdom will be thrown out into the darkness, where they will cry and gnash their teeth.”

It will be a day of fury, a day of trouble and distress, a day of ruin and destruction, a day of darkness and gloom, a black and cloudy day,

I realized another thing, that in this world fast runners do not always win the races, and the brave do not always win the battles. The wise do not always earn a living, intelligent people do not always get rich, and capable people do not always rise to high positions. Bad luck happens to everyone.

The Lord will keep you safe. He will not let you fall into a trap.

We get to live our lives in darkness and grief, worried, angry, and sick.

He protects those who treat others fairly, and guards those who are devoted to him.

The Lord will guard you; he is by your side to protect you.

They are like wild waves of the sea, with their shameful deeds showing up like foam. They are like wandering stars, for whom God has reserved a place forever in the deepest darkness.

My dear friends, I was doing my best to write to you about the salvation we share in common, when I felt the need of writing at once to encourage you to fight on for the faith which once and for all God has given to his people.

From Jude, servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James— To those who have been called by God, who live in the love of God the Father and the protection of Jesus Christ:

Now we know that everything in the Law applies to those who live under the Law, in order to stop all human excuses and bring the whole world under God's judgment.

The Lord says, “The wise should not boast of their wisdom, nor the strong of their strength, nor the rich of their wealth.

“Why are we sitting still?” God's people ask. “Come on, we will run to the fortified cities and die there. The Lord our God has condemned us to die; he has given us poison to drink, because we have sinned against him.

He gives hope to the poor and silences the wicked.

May the Lord bless you and take care of you;

I call to you, Lord; don't let me be disgraced. May the wicked be disgraced; may they go silently down to the world of the dead.

“I watch over it and water it continually. I guard it night and day so that no one will harm it.

It is the Lord who has kept you from taking revenge and killing your enemies. And now I swear to you by the living Lord that your enemies and all who want to harm you will be punished like Nabal.

They will be driven out of the land of the living, driven from light into darkness.

Bury them all in the ground; bind them in the world of the dead.

The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord, but the evil are on the way to their doom.

Then he led the Israelites out; they carried silver and gold, and all of them were healthy and strong.

He protects everyone who loves him, but he will destroy the wicked.

The Lord says to Babylon, “Sit in silence and darkness; no more will they call you the queen of nations!

Like a great rushing flood he completely destroys his enemies; he sends to their death those who oppose him.
