The command that Christ has given us is this: whoever loves God must love others also.

Do not take revenge on others or continue to hate them, but love your neighbors as you love yourself. I am the Lord.

The message you heard from the very beginning is this: we must love one another.

There is no need to write you about love for each other. You yourselves have been taught by God how you should love one another.

To conclude: you must all have the same attitude and the same feelings; love one another, and be kind and humble with one another.

For the whole Law is summed up in one commandment: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

My commandment is this: love one another, just as I love you.

What he commands is that we believe in his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as Christ commanded us.

We know that we have left death and come over into life; we know it because we love others. Those who do not love are still under the power of death.

Above everything, love one another earnestly, because love covers over many sins.

The teacher of the Law answered, “The one who was kind to him.” Jesus replied, “You go, then, and do the same.”

Dear friends, if this is how God loved us, then we should love one another.

For when we are in union with Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor the lack of it makes any difference at all; what matters is faith that works through love.

My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your friends, hate your enemies.’

My dear friends, this command I am writing you is not new; it is the old command, the one you have had from the very beginning. The old command is the message you have already heard.
