God's Word

The Lord has reversed the judgments against you. He has forced out your enemies. The king of Israel, the Lord, is with you. You will never fear disaster again.

The Lord your God defends his people. This is what your master says: I’m taking from your hand the cup that makes people stagger, the bowl, the cup of my fury. You will never drink from it again.

I will no longer hide my face from them, because I will pour out my Spirit on the nation of Israel, declares the Almighty Lord.”

The righteous Lord is in that city. He does no wrong. He brings his judgment to light every morning. He does not fail. But those who are perverted are shameless.

I will plant the people of Israel in their land, and they won’t be uprooted again from the land that I gave them, says the Lord your God.

Nathanael said to Jesus, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the king of Israel!”

People will live there, and it will never be threatened with destruction. Jerusalem will live securely.

On that day I will make Jerusalem a stone too heavy for all the nations to lift. All who try to lift it will be severely injured. All the nations in the world will gather ⌞to fight⌟ against Jerusalem.”

No longer will you hear about violence in your land or desolation and destruction within your borders. You will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

The Lord is our judge. The Lord is our lawgiver. The Lord is our king. The Lord is our savior.

You laid aside all your fury. You turned away from your burning anger.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, power, kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah have come. The one accusing our brothers and sisters, the one accusing them day and night in the presence of our God, has been thrown out.

That is why they are in front of the throne of God. They serve him day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.

Pilate wrote a notice and put it on the cross. The notice read, “Jesus from Nazareth, the king of the Jews.”

“Don’t be afraid, people of Zion! Your king is coming. He is riding on a donkey’s colt.”

Rejoice with all your heart, people of Zion! Shout in triumph, people of Jerusalem! Look! Your King is coming to you: He is righteous and victorious. He is humble and rides on a donkey, on a colt, a young pack animal.

The Lord your God is with you. He is a hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you, renews you with his love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy.

The violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction done to the animals will terrify you because of the slaughter and violence done to lands, cities, and all their inhabitants.

Then my enemies will see this, and they will be covered with shame, because they asked me, “Where is the Lord your God?” Now I look at them. They are trampled like mud in the streets.

“You will know that I am the Lord your God. I live on my holy mountain, Zion. Jerusalem will be holy. Foreigners will never invade it again.

The city will measure about 31,500 feet all the way around. From then on the city’s name will be: The Lord Is There.

I will rejoice about Jerusalem and be glad about my people. Screaming and crying will no longer be heard in the city.

You will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, so you will not be afraid. You will be far from destruction, so it won’t come near you.

He will swallow up death forever. The Almighty Lord will wipe away tears from every face, and he will remove the disgrace of his people from the whole earth. The Lord has spoken.

So she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. Then she said, “God has taken away my disgrace.”

On his clothes and his thigh he has a name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

You have looted many nations. All the rest of the people will loot you because of the slaughter and violence done to lands, cities, and all their inhabitants.

The people ransomed by the Lord will return. They will come to Zion singing with joy. Everlasting happiness will be on their heads ⌞as a crown⌟. They will be glad and joyful. They will have no sorrow or grief.

I can’t do anything on my own. As I listen ⌞to the Father⌟, I make my judgments. My judgments are right because I don’t try to do what I want but what the one who sent me wants.

“Gloat over it, heaven, God’s people, apostles, and prophets. God has condemned it for you.”

The fear of the Lord is pure. It endures forever. The decisions of the Lord are true. They are completely fair.

Shout loudly, and sing with joy, people of Zion! The Holy One of Israel is great. He is among you.”

“ ‘You said, “These two nations, Israel and Judah, along with their land, belong to us. We will take possession of them.” But the Lord was there.

Let Israel find joy in their creator. Let the people of Zion rejoice over their king.

Break out into shouts of joy, ruins of Jerusalem. The Lord will comfort his people. He will reclaim Jerusalem.

The cry from my dear people comes from a distant land: “Isn’t the Lord in Zion? Isn’t Zion’s king still there?” They make me furious with their idols, with their foreign gods.

I will no longer let you hear the insults from the nations. You will no longer suffer the disgrace of the people. You will never again take the children away from your own nation, declares the Almighty Lord.’ ”
