What will separate us from the love Christ has for us? Can trouble, distress, persecution, hunger, nakedness, danger, or violent death separate us from his love?

But from everlasting to everlasting, the Lord’s mercy is on those who fear him. His righteousness belongs to their children and grandchildren,

I had just left them when I found the one I love. I held on to him and would not let him go until I had brought him into my mother’s house, into the bedroom of the one who conceived me.

There will be suffering and distress for every person who does evil, for Jews first and Greeks as well.

If we are his children, we are also God’s heirs. If we share in Christ’s suffering in order to share his glory, we are heirs together with him.

The one who loves us gives us an overwhelming victory in all these difficulties.

or powers in the world above or in the world below, or by anything else in creation.

To this moment, we are hungry, thirsty, poorly dressed, roughly treated, and homeless.

We wear ourselves out doing physical labor. When people verbally abuse us, we bless them. When people persecute us, we endure it.

Therefore, I accept weakness, mistreatment, hardship, persecution, and difficulties suffered for Christ. It’s clear that when I’m weak, I’m strong.

Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine.

In every way we’re troubled, but we aren’t crushed by our troubles. We’re frustrated, but we don’t give up.

We’re persecuted, but we’re not abandoned. We’re captured, but we’re not killed.

You will know Christ’s love, which goes far beyond any knowledge. I am praying this so that you may be completely filled with God.

God our Father loved us and by his kindness  gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope. Together with our Lord Jesus Christ,

For this reason I suffer as I do. However, I’m not ashamed. I know whom I trust. I’m convinced that he is able to protect what he had entrusted to me until that day.

and from Jesus Christ, the witness, the trustworthy one, the first to come back to life, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. Glory and power forever and ever  belong to the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
