The laws in Moses’ Teachings were added to increase the failure. But where sin increased, God’s kindness increased even more.

For the sake of your name, O Lord, remove my guilt, because it is great.

“Come on now, let’s discuss this!” says the Lord. “Though your sins are bright red, they will become as white as snow. Though they are dark red, they will become as white as wool.

You will have to suffer disgrace because you accused your sisters. Yet, your sins are more disgusting than theirs. They look like they are innocent compared to you. Be ashamed of yourself and suffer disgrace, because you have made your sisters look like they are innocent.

So Moses made a bronze snake and put it on a pole. People looked at the bronze snake after they were bitten, and they lived.

“Those who started working about 5 p.m. came, and each received a day’s wages.

Learn what this means: ‘I want mercy, not sacrifices.’ I’ve come to call sinners, not people who think they have God’s approval.”

That’s why I’m telling you that her many sins have been forgiven. Her great love proves that. But whoever receives little forgiveness loves very little.”

A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came so that my sheep will have life and so that they will have everything they need.

If I hadn’t come and spoken to them, they wouldn’t have any sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin.

The laws in Moses’ Teachings bring about anger. But where those laws don’t exist, they can’t be broken.

What should we say then? Should we continue to sin so that God’s kindness  will increase?

Certainly, sin shouldn’t have power over you because you’re not controlled by God’s laws, but by God’s favor.
