When you see a thief, you want to make friends with him. You keep company with people who commit adultery.

Those who abandon ⌞God’s⌟ teachings praise wicked people, but those who follow ⌞God’s⌟ teachings oppose wicked people.

“They make kings happy with the wicked things they do. They make officials happy with the lies they tell.

So you are witnesses and approve of what your ancestors did. They murdered the prophets for whom you build monuments.

When Stephen, who witnessed about you, was being killed, I was standing there. I approved of his death and guarded the coats of those who were murdering him.’

Saul approved of putting Stephen to death. On that day widespread persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem. Most believers, except the apostles, were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

God’s anger is revealed from heaven against every ungodly and immoral thing people do as they try to suppress the truth by their immoral living.

They knew God but did not praise and thank him for being God. Instead, their thoughts were pointless, and their misguided minds were plunged into darkness.

What did you gain by doing those things? You’re ashamed of what you used to do because it ended in death.

The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned.
