God's Word

John testified about what he saw: God’s word and the testimony about Jesus Christ.

John said, “I saw the Spirit come down as a dove from heaven and stay on him.

The people who had been with Jesus when he called Lazarus from the tomb and brought him back to life reported what they had seen.

The one who saw this is an eyewitness. What he says is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth so that you, too, will believe.

This disciple was an eyewitness of these things and wrote them down. We know that what he says is true.

I can guarantee this truth: We know what we’re talking about, and we confirm what we’ve seen. Yet, you don’t accept our message.

You will be his witness and will tell everyone what you have seen and heard.

Stand up! I have appeared to you for a reason. I’m appointing you to be a servant and witness of what you have seen and of what I will show you.

We cannot stop talking about what we’ve seen and heard.”

Our message about Christ has been verified among you.

Brothers and sisters, when I came to you, I didn’t speak about God’s mystery  as if it were some kind of brilliant message or wisdom.

The Word of life existed from the beginning. We have heard it. We have seen it. We observed and touched it.

We have seen and testify to the fact that the Father sent his Son as the Savior of the world.

Everyone, including the truth itself, says good things about Demetrius. We also say good things about him, and you know that what we say is true.

saying, “Write on a scroll what you see, and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

Therefore, write down what you have seen, what is, and what is going to happen after these things.

I am John, your brother. I share your suffering, ruling, and endurance because of Jesus. I was ⌞exiled⌟ on the island of Patmos because of God’s word and the testimony about Jesus.

They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life so much that they refused to give it up.

The serpent became angry with the woman. So it went away to fight with her other children, the ones who keep God’s commands and hold on to the testimony of Jesus.

I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were allowed to judge. Then I saw the souls of those whose heads had been cut off because of their testimony about Jesus and because of God’s word. They had not worshiped the beast or its statue and were not branded on their foreheads or hands. They lived and ruled with Christ for 1,000 years.

The good will  of the Lord Jesus be with all of you. Amen!

When the lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered because of God’s word and the testimony they had given about him.
