Worship the Lord in ⌞his⌟ holy splendor. Tremble in his presence, all the earth!

The whole assembly bowed down with their faces touching the ground, singers began to sing, and the trumpets blew until the burnt offering was finished.

When the burnt offerings were finished, the king and everyone who was with him kneeled and bowed down.

Then King Hezekiah and the leaders told the Levites to praise the Lord with the words of David and the seer Asaph. They joyfully sang praises, bowed down, and worshiped.

⌞I, Ezra, said:⌟ Thanks be to the Lord God of our ancestors. He put this into the king’s mind to make the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem beautiful.

Your people will volunteer when you call up your army. Your young people will come to you in holy splendor like dew in the early morning.

Give to the Lord the glory his name deserves. Worship the Lord in ⌞his⌟ holy splendor.

Let all the earth fear the Lord. Let all who live in the world stand in awe of him.

Make vows to the Lord your God, and keep them. Let everyone around him bring gifts to the one who must be feared.

You alone must be feared! Who can stand in your presence when you become angry?

The Lord rules as king. Let the people tremble. He is enthroned over the angels. Let the earth quake.

They were proud of their beautiful jewels and used them to make disgusting and detestable statues ⌞of false gods⌟. That is why I will make their jewels disgusting.

He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at a beautiful holy mountain. When he comes to his end, there will be no one to help him.”
