Psalm 93:1

God's Word

The Lord rules as king! He is clothed with majesty. The Lord has clothed himself; he has armed himself with power. The world was set in place; it cannot be moved.

Tremble in his presence, all the earth! “The earth stands firm; it cannot be moved.

Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad. Say to the nations, ‘The Lord rules as king!’

Riches and honor are in front of you. You rule everything. You hold power and strength in your hands, and you can make anyone great and strong.

Then dress yourself in majesty and dignity. Clothe yourself in splendor and glory.

The Lord has set his throne in heaven. His kingdom rules everything.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your empire endures throughout every generation.

God arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.

the one who calms the roar of the seas, their crashing waves, and the uproar of the nations.

When the earth and everyone who lives on it begin to melt, I will make its foundations as solid as rock. Selah

Say to the nations, “The Lord rules as king!” The earth stands firm; it cannot be moved. He will judge people fairly.

The Lord rules as king. Let the earth rejoice. Let all the islands be joyful.

The Lord rules as king. Let the people tremble. He is enthroned over the angels. Let the earth quake.

Justice will be the belt around his waist. Faithfulness will be the belt around his hips.

I made the earth and created humans on it. I stretched out the heavens with my own hands. I commanded all the stars ⌞to shine⌟.

The Lord created the heavens. God formed the earth and made it. He set it up. He did not create it to be empty but formed it to be inhabited. This is what the Lord says: I am the Lord, and there is no other.

This is what the Lord says: In the time of favor I will answer you. In the day of salvation I will help you. I will protect you. I will appoint you as my promise  to the people. You will restore the land. You will make them inherit the desolate inheritance.

I put my words in your mouth and sheltered you in the palm of my hand. I stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and said to Zion, “You are my people.”

Wake up! Wake up! Clothe yourself with strength, O Lord! Wake up as you did in days long past, as in generations long ago. Didn’t you cut Rahab  into pieces and stab the serpent?

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces the good news, “All is well.” He brings the good news, announces salvation, and tells Zion that its God rules as king.

He puts on righteousness like a coat of armor and a helmet of salvation on his head. He wears clothes of vengeance. He wraps himself with fury as a coat.

Who is this coming from Bozrah in Edom with his clothes stained bright red? Who is this dressed in splendor, going forward with great strength? “It is I, the Lord. I am coming to announce my victory. I am powerful enough to save ⌞you⌟.”

Don’t allow us to be tempted. Instead, rescue us from the evil one.

But God said about his Son, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter in your kingdom is a scepter for justice.

I heard what sounded like the noise from a large crowd, like the noise of raging waters, like the noise of loud thunder, saying, “Hallelujah! The Lord our God, the Almighty, has become king.
