But no one asks, ‘Where is God, my Creator, who inspires songs in the night,

I will sing about mercy and justice. O Lord, I will make music to praise you.

Hallelujah! It is good to sing psalms to our God. It is pleasant to sing ⌞his⌟ praise beautifully.

The Lord commands his mercy during the day, and at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.

My mouth will tell about your righteousness, about your salvation all day long. Even then, it is more than I can understand.

When my enemies retreat, they will stumble and die in your presence.

I will acknowledge the Lord’s acts of mercy, and ⌞sing⌟ the praises of the Lord, because of everything that the Lord has done for us. He has done many good things for the nation of Israel because of his compassion and his unlimited mercy.

Laws were given through Moses, but kindness and truth came into existence through Jesus Christ.

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God. The other prisoners were listening to them.
