Even though I walk into the middle of trouble, you guard my life against the anger of my enemies. You stretch out your hand, and your right hand saves me.

Let Israel find joy in their creator. Let the people of Zion rejoice over their king.

If only salvation for Israel would come from Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice. Israel will be glad.

You have made me endure many terrible troubles. You restore me to life again. You bring me back from the depths of the earth.

Why, O God, have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep in your care?

Has his mercy come to an end forever? Has his promise been canceled throughout every generation?

Then we will never turn away from you. Give us life again, and we will call on you.

Satisfy us every morning with your mercy so that we may sing joyfully and rejoice all our days.

Lord, I have heard the report about you. Lord, I fear your work. In the course of the years, renew it. In the course of the years, reveal it. In all this chaos, remember to be merciful.
