You drench plowed fields ⌞with rain⌟ and level their clumps of soil. You soften them with showers and bless what grows in them.
Whether for discipline, or for ⌞the good of⌟ his earth, or out of mercy, he makes the storm appear.
You water the mountains from your home above. You fill the earth with the fruits of your labors.
He covers the sky with clouds. He provides rain for the ground. He makes grass grow on the mountains.
Your flock settled there. Out of your goodness, O God, you provided for oppressed people.
“I will give you rain at the right time. The land will produce its crops, and the trees in the field will produce their fruit.
Let my teachings come down like raindrops. Let my words drip like dew, like gentle rain on grass, like showers on green plants.
