There they are—panic-stricken— ⌞but⌟ there was no reason to panic, because God has scattered the bones of those who set up camp against you. You put them to shame. After all, God has rejected them.

A wicked person flees when no one is chasing him, but righteous people are as bold as lions.

I will fill with despair those who are left in the land of their enemies. The sound of a windblown leaf will make them run. They will run away and fall, but no one will be chasing them.

As someone plows and breaks up the ground, so our bones will be planted at the mouth of the grave.

There was panic among the army in the field and all the troops in the military post. The raiding party also trembled ⌞in fear⌟. The earth shook, and there was a panic sent from God.

As ⌞someone⌟ gets rid of a dream when he wakes up, so you, O Lord, get rid of the thought of them when you wake up.

Let all those who seek to end my life be confused and put to shame. Let those who want my downfall be turned back and disgraced.

Let those who gloat over my downfall be thoroughly put to shame and confused. Let those who promote themselves at my expense be clothed with shame and disgrace.

Let those who seek my life be put to shame and disgraced. Let those who plan my downfall be turned back in confusion.

There they are—panic-stricken because God is with the person who is righteous.

The one enthroned in heaven laughs. The Lord makes fun of them.

He stripped his own booth as if it were a garden and destroyed his own festivals. The Lord wiped out the memory of festivals and days of rest—holy days—in Zion. He expelled kings and priests because of his fierce anger.

Terrifying sounds are in his ears. While he enjoys peace, the destroyer comes to him.
