You are my fortress, O God! Why have you rejected me? Why must I walk around in mourning while the enemy oppresses me?

I will ask God, my rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I walk around in mourning while the enemy oppresses me?”

The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted him, so I received help. My heart is triumphant; I give thanks to him with my song.

Finally, receive your power from the Lord and from his mighty strength.

Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the Lord will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won’t become weary. They will walk and won’t grow tired.

The Lord will never desert his people or abandon those who belong to him.

But now you have rejected and disgraced us. You do not even go along with our armies.

“I will strengthen them in the Lord. They will live in his name,” declares the Lord.

It will be said of me, “Certainly, righteousness and strength are found in the Lord alone.” All who are angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.

O Lord Almighty, the strong one who saves me, you have covered my head in the day of battle.

Will the Lord reject ⌞me⌟ for all time? Will he ever accept me?

Do not reject me when I am old or abandon me when I lose my strength.

“And you, my son Solomon, learn to know your father’s God. Serve the Lord wholeheartedly and willingly because he searches every heart and understands every thought ⌞we have⌟. If you dedicate your life to serving him, he will accept you. But if you abandon him, he will reject you from then on.

The Lord is my strength and my song. He is my Savior. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will honor him.

I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.

You are my refuge, so pull me out of the net that they have secretly laid for me.

With a shattering blow to my bones, my enemies taunt me. They ask me all day long, “Where is your God?”

Ever since I was young, I have been suffering and near death. I have endured your terrors, and now I am in despair.
