As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.

I open my mouth and pant because I long for your commandments.

The Lord is great. He should be highly praised. His holy mountain is in the city of our God.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.

You favored your land, O Lord. You restored the fortunes of Jacob.

My heart is overflowing with good news. I will direct my song to the king. My tongue is a pen for a skillful writer.

Clap your hands, all you people. Shout to God with a loud, joyful song.

O God, we have heard it with our own ears. Our ancestors have told us about the miracle you performed in their day, in days long ago.

Listen to this, all you people. Open your ears, all who live in the world—

and the earth opened up to swallow them, their families, the followers of Korah, and all their property.

Korah (son of Izhar), Dathan and Abiram (sons of Eliab), and On (son of Peleth) dared to challenge Moses. (Korah was a descendant of Kohath and Levi. Dathan, Abiram, and On were descendants of Reuben.)

But the descendants of Korah didn’t die.)

The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the families descended from Korah.

These were Kohath’s descendants: Kohath’s son was Amminadab. Amminadab’s son was Korah. Korah’s son was Assir.

⌞The city⌟ the Lord has founded ⌞stands⌟ on holy mountains.

O Lord God, my savior, I cry out to you during the day and at night.
