The Lord confronts those who do evil in order to wipe out all memory of them from the earth.

All memory about him will vanish from the earth, and his reputation will not be known on the street corner.

He doesn’t take his eyes off righteous people. He seats them on thrones with kings to honor them forever.

The Lord is king forever and ever. The nations have vanished from his land.

Then the earth shook and quaked. Even the foundations of the mountains trembled. They shook violently because he was angry.

The Lord’s eyes are on those who fear him, on those who wait with hope for his mercy

God created ears. Do you think he can’t hear? He formed eyes. Do you think he can’t see?

The name of a righteous person remains blessed, but the names of wicked people will rot away.

The Lord is far from wicked people, but he hears the prayers of righteous people.

Then I saw wicked people given an ⌞honorable⌟ burial. They used to go in and out of the holy place. They were praised in the city for doing such things. Even this is pointless.

O Lord, the Hope of Israel, all who abandon you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in dust, because they abandon the Lord, the fountain of life-giving water.

This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I’m going to bring disaster on you and destroy all of Judah.

“If Israelites or foreigners eat any blood, I will condemn them and exclude them from the people,

I will condemn you so that you will go down in defeat in front of your enemies. Those who hate you will be your rulers. You will run away even when no one is chasing you.

Even if they go into exile ahead of their enemies, I will command a sword to kill them. I will keep my eyes on them so that I can bring disaster on them and not help them.
