Evildoers closed in on me to tear me to pieces. My opponents and enemies stumbled and fell.
Many will stumble. They will fall and be broken. They will be trapped and caught.
They swarmed around me like bees, but they were extinguished like burning thornbushes. ⌞So armed⌟ with the name of the Lord, I defeated them.
Are all those troublemakers, those who devour my people as if they were devouring food, so ignorant that they do not call on the Lord?
When my enemies retreat, they will stumble and die in your presence.
Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! You have slapped all my enemies in the face. You have smashed the teeth of wicked people.
Why do you pursue me as God does? Why are you never satisfied with my flesh?
Dogs have surrounded me. A mob has encircled me. They have pierced my hands and feet.
The ropes of death had become tangled around me. The torrents of destruction had overwhelmed me.
“If the people who were in my tent had said, ‘We wish we had never filled ⌞our stomachs⌟ with his food’….
Are all those troublemakers, those who devour my people as if they were devouring food, so ignorant that they do not call on God?
