Judge me favorably, O Lord, because I have walked with integrity and I have trusted you without wavering.

But God will buy me back from the power of hell because he will take me. Selah

No one can ever buy back another person or pay God a ransom for his life.

Come close, and defend my soul. Set me free because of my enemies.

“Please, Lord, remember how I’ve lived faithfully and sincerely in your presence. I’ve done what you consider right.” And he cried bitterly.

Zechariah and Elizabeth had God’s approval. They followed all the Lord’s commands and regulations perfectly.

You and God are witnesses of how pure, honest, and blameless we were in our dealings with you believers.

He gave himself for us to set us free from every sin and to cleanse us so that we can be his special people who are enthusiastic about doing good things.
