Lead me in your truth and teach me because you are God, my savior. I wait all day long for you.

“I wait with hope for you to rescue me, O Lord.

You gave them your good Spirit to teach them. You didn’t keep your manna to yourself. You gave them water to quench their thirst.

“God does great things by his power. Is there any teacher like him?

He led them on a road that went straight to an inhabited city.

I told you what I have done, and you answered me. Teach me your laws.

Teach me, O Lord, how to live by your laws, and I will obey them to the end.

Teach me ⌞to use⌟ good judgment and knowledge, because I believe in your commandments.

Oh, how I love your teachings! They are in my thoughts all day long.

My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer— also at night, but I find no rest.

⌞This person⌟ will receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from God, his savior.

Every path of the Lord is ⌞one of⌟ mercy and truth for those who cling to his promise  and written instructions.

The Lord is good and decent. That is why he teaches sinners the way they should live.

Our God is the God of victories. The Almighty Lord is our escape from death.

Help us, O God, our savior, for the glory of your name. Rescue us, and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.

Have pity on me, O Lord, because I call out to you all day long.

O Lord God, my savior, I cry out to you during the day and at night.

Do not envy sinners in your heart. Instead, continue to fear the Lord.

Blessed is the person who listens to me, watches at my door day after day, and waits by my doorposts.

The Lord is waiting to be kind to you. He rises to have compassion on you. The Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.

A highway will be there, a roadway. It will be called the Holy Road. Sinners won’t travel on it. It will be for those who walk on it. Godless fools won’t wander ⌞onto it⌟.

I will lead the blind on unfamiliar roads. I will lead them on unfamiliar paths. I will turn darkness into light in front of them. I will make rough places smooth. These are the things I will do for them, and I will never abandon them.

They will never be hungry or thirsty, nor will the sun or the burning, hot wind strike them. The one who has compassion on them will lead them and guide them to springs.

All your children will be taught by the Lord, and your children will have unlimited peace.

They will cry as they return. They will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams on a level path where they will not stumble. I will be a Father to Israel, and Ephraim will be my firstborn.

I will look to the Lord. I will wait for God to save me. I will wait for my God to listen to me.

Won’t God give his chosen people justice when they cry out to him for help day and night? Is he slow to help them?

However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you.

When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into the full truth. He won’t speak on his own. He will speak what he hears and will tell you about things to come.

The prophets wrote, ‘God will teach everyone.’ Those who do what they have learned from the Father come to me.

Certainly, all who are guided by God’s Spirit are God’s children.

The anointing you received from Christ lives in you. You don’t need anyone to teach you something else. Instead, Christ’s anointing teaches you about everything. His anointing is true and contains no lie. So live in Christ as he taught you to do.

The lamb in the center near the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs filled with the water of life, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
