The earth and everything it contains are the Lord’s. The world and all who live in it are his.

Greatness, power, splendor, glory, and majesty are yours, Lord, because everything in heaven and on earth is yours. The kingdom is yours, Lord, and you are honored as head of all things.

“Lord, our God, all this wealth that we gathered to build a temple for your holy name is from you. All of it is yours.

Amaziah asked the man of God, “What should I do about the 7,500 pounds of silver I gave the troops from Israel?” The man of God answered, “The Lord can give you much more than that.”

Who put him in charge of the earth? Who appointed him to be over the whole world?

Who can confront me that I should repay him? Everything under heaven belongs to me!

Will it plead with you for mercy or speak tenderly to you?

Every creature in the forest, ⌞even⌟ the cattle on a thousand hills, is mine.

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, because the world and all that it contains are mine.

The heavens are yours. The earth is also yours. You made the world and everything in it.

You created north and south. Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon sing your name joyfully.

Let the sea, everything in it, the world, and those who live in it roar like thunder.

If you carefully obey me and are faithful to the terms of my promise, then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, even though the whole world is mine.

Moses replied, “As soon as I’m out of the city, I’ll spread out my hands to the Lord in prayer. The thunder will stop, and there will be no more hail. This is how you will know that the earth belongs to the Lord.

You will be forced away from people and live with the wild animals. You will eat grass like cattle. The dew from the sky will make you wet. And seven time periods will pass until you realize that the Most High has power over human kingdoms and that he gives them to whomever he wishes.

Get up and thresh, people of Zion. I will make your horns as hard as iron and your hoofs as hard as bronze. You will smash many nations into small pieces. You will claim their loot for the Lord, their wealth for the Lord of the whole earth.

The mountains quake because of him. The hills melt. The earth draws back in his presence. The world and all who live in it draw back as well.

Certainly, “The earth is the Lord’s and everything it contains is his.”

Remember that the sky, the highest heaven, the earth and everything it contains belong to the Lord your God.
