“Now arise, and come to your resting place, Lord God— you and the ark of your power. Clothe your priests, Lord God, with salvation. Let your godly ones rejoice in what is good.

Who can confront me that I should repay him? Everything under heaven belongs to me!

On the day when I faced disaster, they confronted me, but the Lord came to my defense.

We will joyfully sing about your victory. We will wave our flags in the name of our God. The Lord will fulfill all your requests.

Your kindness is so great! You reserve it for those who fear you. Adam’s descendants watch as you show it to those who take refuge in you.

God will come to meet me. He will let me gloat over those who spy on me.

Who gave the Lord something which the Lord must pay back?

Do you have contempt for God, who is very kind to you, puts up with you, and deals patiently with you? Don’t you realize that it is God’s kindness that is trying to lead you to him and change the way you think and act?

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through Christ, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer.

Jesus was made a little lower than the angels, but we see him crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death. Through God’s kindness  he died on behalf of everyone.

His eyes are flames of fire. On his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him, but only he knows what it is.

Samuel took the flask of olive oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers. The Lord’s Spirit came over David and stayed with him from that day on. Then Samuel left for Ramah.
