Protect me from the hands of wicked people, O Lord. Keep me safe from violent people. They try to trip me.

Do not let the feet of arrogant people step on me or the hands of wicked people push me away.

You love every destructive accusation, you deceitful tongue!

My God, free me from the hands of a wicked person, from the grasp of one who is cruel and unjust.
