There is a river whose streams bring joy to the city of God, the holy place where the Most High lives.

Its beautiful peak is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion is on the northern ridge. It is the city of the great king.

The people of Ephraim won’t stay in the Lord’s land. They will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean  food in Assyria.

Listen to this, you leaders of the descendants of Jacob, you rulers of the nation of Israel. You despise justice and pervert everything that is right.

Nothing unclean, no one who does anything detestable, and no liars will ever enter it. Only those whose names are written in the lamb’s Book of Life will enter it.
