God's Word

Enter his gates with a song of thanksgiving. Come into his courtyards with a song of praise. Give thanks to him; praise his name.

Through Jesus we should always bring God a sacrifice of praise, that is, words that acknowledge him.

“Our God, we thank you and praise your wonderful name.

I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will keep my vows to you,

The people ransomed by the Lord will return. They will come to Zion singing with joy. Everlasting happiness will be on their heads ⌞as a crown⌟. They will be glad and joyful. They will have no sorrow or grief.

Sing to the Lord! Praise his name! Day after day announce that the Lord saves his people.

Then David said to the whole assembly, “Praise the Lord your God!” So the whole assembly praised the Lord God of their ancestors and knelt in front of the Lord and the king.

You are praised with silence in Zion, O God, and vows ⌞made⌟ to you must be kept.

Let’s come into his presence with a song of thanksgiving. Let’s shout happily to him with psalms.

Give to the Lord the glory he deserves. Bring an offering, and come into his courtyards.

Let them give thanks to your great and fearful name. He is holy!

Our feet are standing inside your gates, Jerusalem.

All of the Lord’s tribes go to that city because it is a law in Israel to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
