A trustworthy person has many blessings, but anyone in a hurry to get rich will not escape punishment.

I put my brother Hanani and Hananiah, the commander of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem. Hananiah was a trustworthy man, and he feared God more than most people do.

My eyes will be watching the faithful people in the land so that they may live with me. The person who lives with integrity will serve me.

Blessings cover the head of a righteous person, but violence covers the mouths of wicked people.

Do not wear yourself out getting rich. Be smart enough to stop.

A stingy person is in a hurry to get rich, not realizing that poverty is about to overtake him.

“Who, then, is the faithful and wise servant? The master will put that person in charge of giving the other servants their food at the right time.

“His master replied, ‘Good job! You’re a good and faithful servant! You proved that you could be trusted with a small amount. I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master’s happiness.’

The Lord asked, “Who, then, is the faithful, skilled manager that the master will put in charge of giving the other servants their share of food at the right time?

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “A rich man had a business manager. The manager was accused of wasting the rich man’s property.

Don’t be afraid of what you are going to suffer. The devil is going to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested. Your suffering will go on for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

I know where you live. Satan’s throne is there. You hold on to my name and have not denied your belief in me, even in the days of Antipas. He was my faithful witness who was killed in your presence, where Satan lives.

Ahimelech asked the king, “But whom among all your officials can you trust like David? Your Majesty, he’s your son-in-law, the commander of your bodyguard. He’s honored in your own household.
