Whoever is generous will be blessed because he has shared his food with the poor.

Can’t I do what I want with my own money? Or do you resent my generosity towards others?’

adultery, greed, wickedness, cheating, shameless lust, envy, cursing, arrogance, and foolishness come from within a person.

Instead, when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the handicapped, the lame, and the blind.

I have given you an example that by working hard like this we should help the weak. We should remember the words that the Lord Jesus said, ‘Giving gifts is more satisfying than receiving them.’ ”

The most tender and sensitive woman among you—so sensitive and tender that she wouldn’t even step on an ant—will become stingy toward the husband she loves or toward her own son or daughter.

Don’t forget to do good things for others and to share what you have with them. These are the kinds of sacrifices that please God.

God is fair. He won’t forget what you’ve done or the love you’ve shown for him. You helped his holy people, and you continue to help them.
