My son, if you take my words ⌞to heart⌟ and treasure my commands within you,

My son, do not forget my teachings, and keep my commands in mind,

to acquire the discipline of wise behavior— righteousness and justice and fairness—

Sons, listen to ⌞your⌟ father’s discipline, and pay attention in order to gain understanding.

My son, pay attention to my words. Treasure my commands that are within you.

Fasten them on your heart forever. Hang them around your neck.

I have not left his commands behind. I have treasured his words in my heart.

My son, listen and accept my words, and they will multiply the years of your life.

Mary treasured all these things in her heart and always thought about them.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field. When a man discovered it, he buried it again. He was so delighted with it that he went away, sold everything he had, and bought that field.

This is a statement that can be trusted and deserves complete acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and I am the foremost sinner.

“Listen carefully to what I say. The Son of Man will be betrayed and handed over to people.”

Then he returned with them to Nazareth and was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart.

Teach us to number each of our days so that we may grow in wisdom.

This command isn’t on the other side of the sea. You don’t have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it for us so that we can hear it and obey it?”

Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise its voice?

Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.

Whoever follows ⌞God’s⌟ teachings is a wise son. Whoever associates with gluttons disgraces his father.
