“Never use the name of the Lord your God carelessly. The Lord will make sure that anyone who uses his name carelessly will be punished.

Now, don’t let him go unpunished. You are wise and know what to do to him: Put that gray-haired, old man into his grave by slaughtering him.”

The old prophet said, “I’m also a prophet, like you. An angel spoke the Lord’s word to me. He said, ‘Bring him home with you so that he may have something to eat and drink.’ ” (But the old prophet was lying.)

With the wrong they do, can they escape? O God, angrily make the nations fall.

A trustworthy witness does not lie, but a dishonest witness breathes lies.

“Never lie when you testify about your neighbor.

An honest witness saves lives, but one who tells lies is dangerous.
