The parent of a fool has grief, and the father of a godless fool has no joy.

A foolish son ruins his father, and a quarreling woman is like constantly dripping water.

May your father and your mother be glad. May she who gave birth to you rejoice.

A spanking and a warning produce wisdom, but an undisciplined child disgraces his mother.
