There is a way that seems right to a person, but eventually it ends in death.
He said to himself, “The kingdom will probably return to David’s dynasty now.
After seeking advice, the king made two golden calves. He said, “You’ve been worshiping in Jerusalem long enough. Israel, here are your gods who brought you out of Egypt.”
A stubborn fool considers his own way the right one, but a person who listens to advice is wise.
A certain kind of person thinks he is pure but is not washed from his own feces.
“Try hard to enter through the narrow door. I can guarantee that many will try to enter, but they won’t succeed.
What did you gain by doing those things? You’re ashamed of what you used to do because it ended in death.
So if any one of you thinks you’re important when you’re really not, you’re only fooling yourself.
Don’t let anyone deceive you with meaningless words. It is because of sins like these that God’s anger comes to those who refuse to obey him.
Do what God’s word says. Don’t merely listen to it, or you will fool yourselves.
