So the king of Israel called 400 prophets together. He asked them, “Should I go to war against Ramoth in Gilead or not?” “Go,” they said. “The Lord  will hand over Ramoth to you.”

⌞He does this⌟ so that godless people cannot rule and so that they cannot trap people.

The same thing happens to all who forget God. The hope of the godless dies.

If an enemy had insulted me, then I could bear it. If someone who hated me had attacked me, then I could hide from him.

Decent people are saved by their righteousness, but treacherous people are trapped by their own greed.

A righteous person is rescued from trouble, and a wicked person takes his place.

A violent person misleads his neighbor and leads him on a path that is not good.

“Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves.

“When you see the disgusting thing that will cause destruction standing where it should not (let the reader take note), those of you in Judea should flee to the mountains.

Some of your own men will come forward and say things that distort the truth. They will do this to lure disciples into following them.

I’m writing to you because you know the truth, not because you don’t know the truth. You know that no lie ever comes from the truth.

The anointing you received from Christ lives in you. You don’t need anyone to teach you something else. Instead, Christ’s anointing teaches you about everything. His anointing is true and contains no lie. So live in Christ as he taught you to do.
