Whoever brings trouble upon his family inherits ⌞only⌟ wind, and that stubborn fool becomes a slave to the wise in heart.

Evil people will bow to good people. Wicked people will bow at the gates of a righteous person.

Whoever is greedy for unjust gain brings trouble to his family, but whoever hates bribes will live.

This also is a painful tragedy: They leave exactly as they came. What advantage do they gain from working so hard for the wind?

This man’s name was Nabal, and his wife’s name was Abigail. She was sensible and beautiful, but he was harsh and mean. He was a descendant of Caleb.

About ten days later the Lord made him even more sick, and Nabal died.
