They complained in their tents. They did not obey the Lord.

Arrogance produces only quarreling, but those who take advice gain wisdom.

“How long must I put up with this wicked community that keeps complaining about me? I’ve heard the complaints the Israelites are making about me.

Although they took it, they began to protest to the owner.

This perfume could have been sold for a high price, and the money could have been given to the poor.” So they said some very unkind things to her.

When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them. Some experts in Moses’ Teachings were arguing with them.

The Pharisees and their experts in Moses’ Teachings complained to Jesus’ disciples. They asked, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

Paul and Barnabas had a fierce dispute with these men. So Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were sent to Jerusalem to see the apostles and spiritual leaders  about this claim.

Paul and Barnabas disagreed so sharply that they parted ways. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed to the island of Cyprus.

After a lot of debating, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know what happened some time ago. God chose me so that people who aren’t Jewish could hear the Good News and believe.

At that time, as the number of disciples grew, Greek-speaking Jews complained about the Hebrew-speaking Jews. The Greek-speaking Jews claimed that the widows among them were neglected every day when food and other assistance was distributed.

As much as it is possible, live in peace with everyone.

Welcome people who are weak in faith, but don’t get into an argument over differences of opinion.

Brothers and sisters, I urge you to watch out for those people who create divisions and who make others fall away ⌞from the Christian faith⌟ by teaching doctrine that is not the same as you have learned. Stay away from them.

Don’t complain as some of them did. The angel of death destroyed them.

I’m afraid that I may come and find you different from what I want you to be, and that you may find me different from what you want me to be. I’m afraid that there may be rivalry, jealousy, hot tempers, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorderly conduct.

But if you criticize and attack each other, be careful that you don’t destroy each other.

We can’t allow ourselves to act arrogantly and to provoke or envy each other.

Don’t act out of selfish ambition or be conceited. Instead, humbly think of others as being better than yourselves.

We ask you to love them and think very highly of them because of the work they are doing. Live in peace with each other.

Make sure that no one ever pays back one wrong with another wrong. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and everyone else.

Try to live peacefully with everyone, and try to live holy lives, because if you don’t, you will not see the Lord.

An angry person doesn’t do what God approves of.

But if you are bitterly jealous and filled with self-centered ambition, don’t brag. Don’t say that you are wise when it isn’t true.

Brothers and sisters, stop complaining about each other, or you will be condemned. Realize that the judge is standing at the door.

They must turn away from evil and do good. They must seek peace and pursue it.

Welcome each other as guests without complaining.

These people complain, find fault, follow their own desires, say arrogant things, and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.
