Many people gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread in the second month. They formed a large assembly.

The king, his officials, and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate the Passover in the second month.

You will celebrate it on the fourteenth day of the second month at dusk. You must eat the Passover animal along with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites:

leave your gift at the altar. First go away and make peace with that person. Then come back and offer your gift.

The Jewish Passover was near. Many people came from the countryside to Jerusalem to purify themselves before the Passover.

With this in mind, individuals must determine whether what they are doing is proper when they eat the bread and drink from the cup.
