The Lord said to Moses,
That is why none of you in the Lord’s assembly will draw lots to divide your property.
Those two-and-a-half tribes received land east of the Jordan River across from Jericho.”
“These are the names of the men who will divide the land for you: the priest Eleazar and Joshua, son of Nun.
This is the land that the people of Israel inherited in Canaan. The priest Eleazar, Joshua (son of Nun), and the heads of Israel’s tribes distributed it to the people.
So Joshua drew lots for them in the presence of the Lord in Shiloh. There Joshua divided the land among the tribes of Israel.
