Numbers 19:16

“Whoever is outdoors and touches someone who was killed or has died naturally or anyone who touches a human bone or a grave will be unclean for seven days.

Run away! Run away! Get away from there! Do not touch anything unclean. Get away from it! Make yourselves pure, you Levites who carry the utensils for the Lord’s temple.

After a priest is made clean, he must wait seven days.

The Lord spoke to Moses, “Tell the priests, Aaron’s sons: None of you should become unclean by touching one of your relatives who has died.

“Whoever touches the dead body of any human being will be unclean for seven days.

Every container without a lid fastened on it is unclean.

“Everyone who killed a person or touched a dead body must stay outside the camp seven days. You and your prisoners of war must use the ritual water on the third and seventh days in order to take away your sin.

“Command the Israelites to send outside the camp anyone who has a serious skin disease or a discharge or anyone who is unclean  from touching a dead body.

While they are dedicated to the Lord as Nazirites, they must never go near a dead body.

But there were some men who had become unclean  from touching a dead body, and they couldn’t celebrate the Passover that day. They came to Moses and Aaron

“How horrible it will be for you, experts in Moses’ Teachings and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You are like whitewashed graves that look beautiful on the outside but inside are full of dead people’s bones and every kind of impurity.

How horrible it will be for you! You are like unmarked graves. People walk on them without knowing what they are.”
