David built an altar for the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. So the Lord heard the prayers for the country, and the plague on Israel stopped.

Then Phinehas stood between God and the people, and the plague was stopped.

So each man took his incense burner, put burning coals and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

Fire came from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering incense.

Aaron took his incense burner, as Moses told him, and ran into the middle of the assembly, because the plague had already begun among the people. He put incense on the incense burner to make peace with the Lord for the people.

Still, 14,700 died from the plague in addition to those who had died because of Korah.

Later, Jesus met the man in the temple courtyard and told him, “You’re well now. Stop sinning so that something worse doesn’t happen to you.”

and to wait for his Son to come from heaven. His Son is Jesus, whom he brought back to life. Jesus is the one who rescues us from ⌞God’s⌟ coming anger.

So admit your sins to each other, and pray for each other so that you will be healed. Prayers offered by those who have God’s approval are effective.
