Numbers 16:41

The next day the whole community of Israel complained to Moses and Aaron. They said, “You have killed the Lord’s people.”

When he saw Elijah, Ahab said, “Is that you, you troublemaker of Israel?”

They complained to Moses and Aaron, “If only we had died in Egypt or this desert!

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, lie, and say all kinds of evil things about you because of me.

Then they began shouting, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere to turn against the Jewish people, Moses’ Teachings, and this temple. He has even brought Greeks into the temple courtyard and has made this holy place unclean.”

He said, “We gave you strict orders not to mention Jesus’ name when you teach. Yet, you’ve filled Jerusalem with your teachings. You want to take revenge on us for putting that man to death.”

Don’t complain as some of them did. The angel of death destroyed them.

as we are praised and dishonored, as we are slandered and honored, and as we use what is right to attack what is wrong and to defend the truth. We are treated as dishonest although we are honest,

These people complain, find fault, follow their own desires, say arrogant things, and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.
