Moses became angry and said to the Lord, “Don’t accept their offering. I haven’t taken anything from them, not even a donkey. And I haven’t mistreated any of them.”

When he came near the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing. In a burst of anger Moses threw down the tablets and smashed them at the foot of the mountain.

The sacrifice of wicked people is disgusting, especially if they bring it with evil intent.

(Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on earth.)

Moses said to Korah, “Tomorrow you and all your followers must come into the Lord’s presence. Aaron will also be there with you.

But I can guarantee that whoever is angry with another believer  will answer for it in court. Whoever calls another believer an insulting name will answer for it in the highest court. Whoever calls another believer a fool will answer for it in hellfire.

Jesus was angry as he looked around at them. He was deeply hurt because their minds were closed. Then he told the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man held it out, and his hand became normal again.

I haven’t used any of these rights, and I haven’t written this in order to use them now. I would rather die than have anyone turn my bragging into meaningless words.

We are proud that our conscience is clear. We are proud of the way that we have lived in this world. We have lived with a God-given holiness  and sincerity, especially toward you. It was not by human wisdom that we have lived but by God’s kindness.

Open your hearts to us. We haven’t treated anyone unjustly, ruined anyone, or cheated anyone.

Be angry without sinning. Don’t go to bed angry.

You and God are witnesses of how pure, honest, and blameless we were in our dealings with you believers.
