Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will come back to you next year at this time, and Sarah will have a son.”

But his servant asked, “How can I set this in front of a hundred people?” “Give it to the people to eat,” the man of God said. “This is what the Lord says: They will eat and even have some left over.”

The servant on whose arm the king was leaning answered the man of God, “Could this happen even if the Lord poured rain through windows in the sky?” Elisha replied, “You will see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.”

Again and again they tested God, and they pushed the Holy One of Israel to the limit.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. I will show him my power, and he will let my people go. I will show him my power, and he will throw them out of his country.”

Why was no one here when I came? Why was no one here to answer when I called? Am I too weak to reclaim you? Don’t I have the power to rescue you? I dry up the sea with my command, and I turn rivers into deserts. Their fish stink because there is no water, and people die of thirst.

The Lord is not too weak to save or his ear too deaf to hear.

Why should you be like someone taken by surprise, like a strong man who cannot help? You, O Lord, are among us. We are called by your name. Don’t leave us!

‘Almighty Lord, you made heaven and earth by your great strength and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

“I am the Lord God of all humanity. Nothing is too hard for me.

I, the Lord, will speak. Everything that I say will happen without any more delay. I will say something, and it will happen during your lifetime, you rebellious people, declares the Almighty Lord.’ ”

I, the Lord, have spoken. It will happen, and I will do it. I will not ignore you, pity you, or change my plans. I will punish you because of the way you lived and because of everything you have done,’ ” declares the Almighty Lord.

As he came near the den where Daniel was, the king called to Daniel with anguish in his voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was God, whom you always worship, able to save you from the lions?”

Should the descendants of Jacob be asked: Has the Spirit of the Lord become impatient with you? Has he done these things? Are his words good for those who live honestly?

Would they have enough if all the flocks and herds were butchered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?”

God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it.

Jesus looked at them and said, “It is impossible for people ⌞to save themselves⌟, but everything is possible for God.”

The earth and the heavens will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

But nothing is impossible for God.”
