“This is what the Lord of Armies says: These people say it’s not the right time to rebuild the house of the Lord.”

But the men who had gone with him said, “We can’t attack those people! They’re too strong for us!”

They went as far as the Eshcol Valley and saw the land. But then they discouraged the rest of the Israelites from entering the land that the Lord had given them.
