Should the descendants of Jacob be asked: Has the Spirit of the Lord become impatient with you? Has he done these things? Are his words good for those who live honestly?

The Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord grants favor and honor. He does not hold back any blessing from those who live innocently.

Your words were found, and I devoured them. Your words are my joy and my heart’s delight, because I am called by your name, O Lord God of Armies.

The one who walks with integrity, does what is righteous, and speaks the truth within his heart.

Wise people will understand these things. A person with insight will recognize them. The Lord’s ways are right. Righteous people live by them. Rebellious people stumble over them.

Why was no one here when I came? Why was no one here to answer when I called? Am I too weak to reclaim you? Don’t I have the power to rescue you? I dry up the sea with my command, and I turn rivers into deserts. Their fish stink because there is no water, and people die of thirst.

Whoever lives honestly will be safe. Whoever lives dishonestly will fall all at once.

The way of the Lord is a fortress for an innocent person but a ruin to those who are troublemakers.

Whoever lives honestly will live securely, but whoever lives dishonestly will be found out.

They will appear to have a godly life, but they will not let its power change them. Stay away from such people.

We haven’t cut you off. Your own emotions have cut you off ⌞from us⌟.

Now, did something good cause my death? That’s unthinkable! Rather, my death was caused by sin so that sin would be recognized for what it is. Through a commandment sin became more sinful than ever.

The Jews replied to Jesus, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus told them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do what Abraham did.

Do those things that prove you have turned to God and have changed the way you think and act.

Listen to this, you leaders of the descendants of Jacob, you rulers of the nation of Israel. You despise justice and pervert everything that is right.

Listen to the Lord’s word, descendants of Jacob, all the families in the nation of Israel.

Cry aloud! Don’t hold back! Raise your voice like a ram’s horn. Tell my people about their rebellion and the descendants of Jacob about their sins.

Whoever lives right fears the Lord, but a person who is devious in his ways despises him.

He has reserved priceless wisdom for decent people. He is a shield for those who walk in integrity

You have treated me well, O Lord, as you promised.

The Lord asked Moses, “Is there a limit to the Lord’s power? Now you will see whether or not my words come true.”

You are good, and you do good things. Teach me your laws.

with pure people you are pure. ⌞In dealing⌟ with devious people you are clever.
