Then Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and gave it to his son Isaac. Abraham carried the burning coals and the knife. The two of them went on together.

He certainly has taken upon himself our suffering and carried our sorrows, but we thought that God had wounded him, beat him, and punished him.

All this happened so that what the Lord had spoken through the prophet came true:

He stayed there until Herod died. What the Lord had spoken through the prophet came true: “I have called my son out of Egypt.”

and made his home in a city called Nazareth. So what the prophets had said came true: “He will be called a Nazarene.”

In the evening, when the sun had set, people brought to him everyone who was sick and those possessed by demons.

When the sun was setting, everyone who had friends suffering from various diseases brought them to him. He placed his hands on each of them and cured them.

Therefore, I accept weakness, mistreatment, hardship, persecution, and difficulties suffered for Christ. It’s clear that when I’m weak, I’m strong.

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God’s approval. His wounds have healed you.
