When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he went back to Galilee.

When John was in prison, he heard about the things Christ had done. So he sent his disciples

Herod had arrested John, tied him up, and put him in prison. Herod did this for Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip.

After John had been put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and told people the Good News of God.

Herod had sent men who had arrested John, tied him up, and put him in prison. Herod did that for Herodias, whom he had married. (She used to be his brother Philip’s wife.)

The priests and the crowd became more forceful. They said, “He stirs up the people throughout Judea with his teachings. He started in Galilee and has come here.”

So Herod added one more evil to all the others; he locked John in prison.

Jesus returned to Galilee. The power of the Spirit was with him, and the news about him spread throughout the surrounding country.

Jesus went to Capernaum, a city in Galilee, and taught them on a day of rest—a holy day.

The next day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee. He found Philip and told him, “Follow me!”

Cana in Galilee was the place where Jesus began to perform miracles. He made his glory public there, and his disciples believed in him.

After spending two days in Samaria, Jesus left for Galilee.

This was the second miracle that Jesus performed after he had come back from Judea to Galilee.
